Toby works at the point where technology decisions become business decisions. He spends his time with boards and executive teams, translating complex systems into value, risk and opportunities they can act on, and then leading the engineering that delivers what was decided.
He holds a PhD in software engineering and an MBA, and has spent twenty years leading engineering from startup to global scale, including CTO and vice-president level roles. That experience brings advice that is technically rigorous and commercially grounded, from someone who has had to deliver on it himself.
